Christian dating non christian is a
growing phenonmenon, and unless the great commission ordered
by Jesus in the book of Matthew 28:20 is fulfilled, Go,
therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded
you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the
age., the issue of christian meeting a non christian and
falling in love with them will always be around.
In fact, I came across this site called Date To
Save which I thought was a very interesting way of
evangelizing. Before anyone of you start getting religious
on me, like many of those in the message board forum on this
site has been. Let's examine the Word of God.
Let's look at the book of Matthew again in
7:18-23, A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a
rotten tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear
good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. So by
their fruits you will know them. "Not everyone who says to
me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only
the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. Many will
say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in
your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we
not do mighty deeds in your name? Then I will declare to
them solemnly, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you
evildoers.
You must be thinking that's harsh of Jesus when He
made that statement but is He? In fact, Jesus is the most
consistent man ever lived. He has never contradicted in what
He said. So let's not judge the person behind this site and
ask what fruits has she beared thus far.
Personally, I think it's alright to date a non
christian provided you know she/he is also willing to
receive Christ or at least open to the gospel. Dating a non
christian is not without risk, not that I am saying dating
christians is going to be any better, but the risk of you
walking away from Jesus is there.
Like any smart investors, you must know when to cut
lose and this is when it gets tough and ugly especially if
you are already emotionally attached to him/her and they are
not even willing to visit your church.
Let me tell you a secret, my wife was the person who
led me to Christ, and in fact some of the girls I dated in
the past were christians too! And some credits should go to
those girls too, for the seed they had planted in my life.
